Dr. Anna Keck has over 15 years of professional experience in higher education and serves as the interim Director of Academic and Professional Programs at California State University, Sacramento in the College of Continuing Education. Anna oversees a diverse portfolio of student services and educational programs including degrees, credentials, certificates, professional development, and youth programs, all which focus on expanding access to educational opportunities and improving educational attainment for youth and adult learners. Anna marched in the Mandarins snare line from 2003-2007, served as center snare in 2006 and 2007, and received the Most Outstanding Corps Member award in 2007. She credits much of her professional success as a leader to her years with the Mandarins where she learned the value of collaborative and inclusive leadership, and is dedicated to building upon the organization's successes to increase access to music education opportunities, and fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for all Mandarins. Anna earned a BA in Sociology with a minor in Gender and Women’s Studies from UC Berkeley, an MA in Sociology from CSU Sacramento, and a Doctorate in Education from CSU Sacramento. She lives in Sacramento with her husband, also a Mandarins alum, and their four children.
