Trevor Bailey is a native of Shreveport, LA, is the Associate Director of Bands/Director of Athletic Bands at Northwestern State University, where he oversees the “Spirit of Northwestern” Marching Band, Purple Haze Basketball Pep Band, and conducts the Wind Ensemble in the Mrs. H.D. Dear, Sr. and Alice E. Dear School of Creative and Performing Arts. Prior to his appointment at NSU.


Mr. Bailey served as Assistant Director of Athletic Bands at Western Carolina University and Director of Bands at the University of Pikeville.


Mr. Bailey received his undergraduate degree in Music from Northwestern State University, obtained his Masters degree in Music Education from the University of Nevada, Reno, and is currently ABD at the University of Alabama, where he is pursuing his DMA in Wind Conducting degree. His teachers and mentors include: Mrs. Carol Lupton, Dr. Masahito Kuroda, Mr. William E. Brent, Dr. Jeff Mathews, Dr. Reed Chamberlin, Dr. Mack McGrannahan, and Dr. Ken Ozzello.


Mr. Bailey remains active in the concert and marching band world. He has adjudicated bands in Thailand, Malaysia, Texas, Louisiana, Nevada, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Utah.


Mr. Bailey has worked for numerous drum corps including: The Troopers, Cavaliers, Cadets, and Phantom Regiment. He currently serves as Low-Brass Coordinator for the Mandarins Drum & Bugle Corps. He was recently elected Vice-President for the Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps Board of Directors.


Mr. Bailey holds memberships in Kappa Kappa Psi. Phi Mu Alpha, CBDNA, and NCMEA.
