Job Overview: The Drum Corps Housing Specialist assists the Tour Director in identifying, securing, organizing, and managing housing arrangements throughout the drum corps season. This role involves searching for and establishing contact with potential housing sites, developing and maintaining relationships with housing sites, and assisting with budget management and documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capability to work well under pressure to ensure smooth and efficient housing logistics for the corps.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Housing Site Search:

  2. Assist in searching for and establishing initial contact with potential housing facilities (schools, community centers, churches, etc.).Help develop and maintain relationships with potential housing providers.
    Assist in negotiating terms and agreements with housing providers.

  3. Assisting with Budget Management:

  4. Assist the Tour Director and corps leadership in managing the housing budget.Help ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality and safety.
    Keep accurate records of all housing-related expenses.

  5. Documentation and Reporting:

  6. Maintain detailed records of housing arrangements and agreements.Provide regular updates and reports to the Tour Director.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Prior experience in logistics, event planning, or a related field. Experience with drum corps or similar organizations is highly desirable.

  • Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

  • Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
