2020 Drum Corps Season Cancelled

Mandarins Begin Transition into 2021

We all know that the COVID-19 virus has had devastating effects on our normal lives. Unfortunately, the drum corps world has been impacted as well.

Our immediate thoughts are with the performers and staff who have been dreaming of another amazing Mandarins Drum Corps season. Our Mandarins Members have given it their all to practice and perfect themselves to perform in front of thousands of Fandarins in the biggest stadiums across the country. Our Mandarins Design Team have brought together all of their creative talent to amaze the world with our 2020 show. Our Mandarins Educational Team have auditioned, selected and begun teaching the members how to perform as world class Mandarins.

It is disappointing that all of these dreams will need to be put on hold. We are NOT disbanding, but we are putting our season in hibernation. We will put our drum corps in a deep sleep for the time being and get ready to emerge even more amazing than ever next season. We have a million and one things to do as we revamp our plans for the summer and we begin our transition into 2021. There are lots of questions out there, but please be patient as we work through the answers.

While we are all disappointed in the news of the day, we believe that there is a bright future in store for the Mandarins. Experiences like this force us to pause and really think about why we do what we do. It’s clear that everything we do is for the Mandarins Family!

Please take care and be safe everybody.
