Drum Corps on the Road Update

Greetings all!

This month’s article is literally being written as I ride the bus to Monroe, LA. at 1:30 am in the morning. Why? Because you write things when you have the time to do so, and this is the time, with everyone asleep. Our tour has gone extremely well for the drum corps, and yes, we have had our share of vehicle breakdowns and other excitement, but we have worked through every challenge and come out on the other side. Competition-wise, the drum corps has been stellar, simply stellar, as we have risen to fifth place in the standings at the San Antonio regional. Pretty impressive indeed! The drum corps continues to travel and eat well as we move into the Eastern time zone. Yes, everyone is a bit tired, but we are in the home stretch and gearing up for the final push. I’d like to thank everyone who has purchased a meal for the corps through the Sponsor-a-Meal program or donated to the Rocky Mountain Rivalry campaign. Your donations have absolutely helped to keep the corps on the road and allow our amazing drum corps members to flourish on the competition field. If you are going to be in Indianapolis for the DCI World Championships and would like to attend the end-of-year corps banquet, you can purchase tickets here. The banquet will be held on Sunday, August 13th at 10:30am. Well, it is time to move on to the next task so I will wrap up my article by saying thanks for all the support, and be sure to catch the Sinnerman at a show near you! Ciao, JW Corps Director
